2ND ANNUAL FILIPINO AMERICAN FESTIVAL AT HARVARD SQUARE
The 2nd Annual Filipino American Festival at Harvard Square is our signature event in Honor of Filipino American. History Month and is a free event to be held on Sunday, Oct 8th, 2023 from 11am to 6pm.
This unprecedented event is in partnership with the Harvard Square Business Associations 43rd Annual Oktoberfest and Honk!Parade & Festival!, is intended to bring the Filipino American community together by showcasing a panorama of our rich heritage and traditions through music, dance, and food to the local community. The event will feature live music on multiple stages from different eras catering to a multi generational crowd, international vendors of crafts and items including those uniquely from the Philippines and Asia, and festive beer gardens from both local and national businesses located throughout Harvard Square.
We are excited that the Filipino American Cultural Groups will be marching from Porter Square arriving at Harvard Square beginning around 2 pm to “Reclaim our Filipino Heritage!” to coincide with the Honk! Festival’s 2022 theme “Reclaim the Streets,” that focuses on “everyone’s presence on the good works that you, our local partners, are doing”.
This year we plan to surpass the 2022 attendees with collaborations with Harvard University in the Community, Philippine Consulate General in New York, Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Science, Harvard-Radcliffe Asian American Association and Harvard Philippine Forum, with our media partners I want TFC & MYX Global, international/local artists, and distinguished guests.
So come spend your weekend learning more about rich Philippine culture with your family and friends, engage in Filipino networking while enjoying Cultural & Dance Performances, Live Entertainment, good music; and delectable food from our vendors, & Fil-Am merchandise from our Non-Food Vendors.
Simultaneously from 11 am to 6 pm, the Filipino American Festival will be held at Harvard Square located at the Church Street Parking Lot distinguished with Filipino decorations!

The Harvard Square Philippine American Alliance is a non-profit organization that believes in bringing the community together through cultural events that celebrate the core values of the rich and deeply rooted ancestry of the Filipino people. Our goal is to organize events on an annual basis in partnership with business owners and community leaders.
Venue
Harvard Square is famous for a lot of things. It is home to the oldest university in America, George Washington took command of the Continental Army here, in the 19th century it was a center of abolitionist fervor, and in the 20th century it was famous for anti-war protests. One thing that has remained true through all these periods of time is the connection between Harvard Square and the printed word. Nearly from the beginning, Harvard Square has been a home and a gathering place for authors, poets, publishers, printers, teachers students and booksellers.
